Circus

The Shine Circus came to town and boy did we have fun. This is the first time any of us has been to the circus that we can remember.

Easter in Ponca City

We decided to spend the Easter weekend in Ponca City with David's family. It's much more fun for Mila to have lots of cousins to find eggs with. While we were in Ponca we decided to check out the lake, and I must say I was quite surprised at the size, honestly I was thinking it would be slightly bigger than a pond.

Imel visit and broken arm

We had a nice visit with all of the Imel's. My dad came to town and so did my aunt Debbie, who I haven't seen in at least 6 years. Also got to see some of my cousins that I haven't seen in years. It was a really nice visit

Mila started and ended soccer March 5th. During her first practice they were doing drills and one girl fell and Mila fell over her. Very tramatic for all of us. Mila ended up breaking both bones just below her growth plate on her left arm (thank goodness it was her left arm!). She will be in a cast until the end of April and hopefully will be ready for softball come May.

Mila had her second recital at school. This one was all about Kansas. She looked so cute in her cowboy hat and boots.

Trip to New Mexico

Christmas 2008

We had a great Christmas this year. As you can tell we all made out like bandits. Santa brought lots of presents including the exciting Wii. David made a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner and we had everyone over for a nice dinner.

Well, I must say we have been very bad about keeping our website updated for 2008! I will try and catch everyone up.

January - David went to Las Vegas for a "Work Seminar" (how convenient). This was only his second time to Vegas and he seemed to have a good time being a bachelor for the week.

February - I turned the big 30 and my wonderful mom came and surprised me for the weekend. It was great, got some homemade food and spent lots of time shopping! It was also nice that Mila got to spend some time with her Grandma.

March - Pretty slow month. Celebrated our first Easter with Mila. The Easter Bunny was very generous (maybe a little too generous!). We decorated tons of eggs and had way too much candy. That afternoon we headed to Ponca City to do an easter egg hunt with all the kids. Mila had a great time.

April - Mila and I went with Lisa and Grandma Brown to Albuquerque for Colleen's baby shower. Though it was a quick 3 day trip - it was lots of fun! Colleen's shower was really nice, lots of food, people and presents - the perfect mix for a good party.

May - Mila had her end of year recital, she was so cute! She is counting down the days until summer starts - officially 4 days away! Jack Earl Elliott joined the family May 7th. Colleen ended up being a couple weeks early with the little guy but everyone is doing great now. We will he heading to Albuquerque for a couple weeks to help Colleen and Dan with the new baby - though I think Colleen just wants to fill her freezer with my cookies.

That pretty much sums up the last 5 months. Hopefully I will get better about updating the site or I might get in trouble by the rest of the family.
