Extended overnight 6/24/07

We had our first overnight visit with Mila on Wednesday and it went really well. Mila slept through the night and was excited to sleep in her new bed. On Thursday Mila had a play date with Lindsay (family friend's daughter). Mila and Lindsay had a great time playing. Thursday afternoon we got a call from Mila's foster family asking if we could keep Mila until Sunday - and of course we said YES! Friday night we went to the movies and saw Surf's Up - Mila really likes those penguins. While we were at the movies we won some tattoo's out of a game, Mila got a butterfly and David got Spiderman. Since we were going swimming Saturday we didn't want to put them on yet. We all had a fun time swimming, Mila continues to practice her swimming so she is ready to show off her skills when we get to Grandma Pris's house. Once we got home from swimming we put the new tattoos on and watched a little tv - as we were worn out. Later on Mila and I painted each others fingers and toes. We had lots of fun! Sunday we were off to Grandma Brown's for dinner. After dinner we had to take Mila back to her foster home. This was the most difficult return we have had to do. At least we are getting closer to the day she moves in forever. 25 days and counting!

Early Father's Day 6/16/07

Today we celebrated our early Father's day - unfortunately we will not get Mila tomorrow. Uncle Doug and Aunt Lisa came by with a couple gifts for Mila. She received an entire princess outfit (picture below). She loved it, even though she didn't show it because her shyness came through. We also went swimming. Mila had a great time swimming in her Little Mermaid swimsuit. She thought Aerial helped her swim better. Once we got home we were all wiped out so we watched Cinderella and ate dinner. After we dropped Mila off we did a little shopping and my shoe fetish once again kicked in - poor Mila, she is going to have 100 pairs of shoes before school starts. I just couldn't help myself, the little girls shoes are soo cute. I hope my bad habits don't rub off to much ;-) 33 Days and Counting

Chucky Cheese 6/14/07

We just got back from chucky cheese! We had a great time. This visit was with Cathy (Mila's sister). Cathy was very nice and we all had a great time playing all the games. We also stopped by the house so that Cathy could meet Molly and Maggie. I think she liked us, or at least pretended to like us. Mila had a difficult time saying goodbye, she had a lot of tears which was very difficult for us to watch. 34 Days and counting.

Making Cookies 6/13/07

We just finished our visit with Mila - it went very well. Mila did a great job of making cookies - she was very precise in having 3 across and 5 down and only 15 cookies on a sheet, no matter if there was more room. Mila is really into numbers - she counts EVERYTHING. She really likes playing with her littlest pet shop - we had to feed all the animals and put them to bed before she could leave. David did a great job of acting like he knew what he was doing!
Tomorrow we are off to Chucky Cheese - should be a great time!

Visit to the Zoo 6/9/07

Attached are some pictures from Saturday. The zoo was lots of fun. We also picked out Mila's bedding and a couple outfits and some shoes (surprise surprise). Unfortunately we do not get to visit with her on Sunday. Well jus thave to keep persisting to get more visits.
