Well, I must say we have been very bad about keeping our website updated for 2008! I will try and catch everyone up.

January - David went to Las Vegas for a "Work Seminar" (how convenient). This was only his second time to Vegas and he seemed to have a good time being a bachelor for the week.

February - I turned the big 30 and my wonderful mom came and surprised me for the weekend. It was great, got some homemade food and spent lots of time shopping! It was also nice that Mila got to spend some time with her Grandma.

March - Pretty slow month. Celebrated our first Easter with Mila. The Easter Bunny was very generous (maybe a little too generous!). We decorated tons of eggs and had way too much candy. That afternoon we headed to Ponca City to do an easter egg hunt with all the kids. Mila had a great time.

April - Mila and I went with Lisa and Grandma Brown to Albuquerque for Colleen's baby shower. Though it was a quick 3 day trip - it was lots of fun! Colleen's shower was really nice, lots of food, people and presents - the perfect mix for a good party.

May - Mila had her end of year recital, she was so cute! She is counting down the days until summer starts - officially 4 days away! Jack Earl Elliott joined the family May 7th. Colleen ended up being a couple weeks early with the little guy but everyone is doing great now. We will he heading to Albuquerque for a couple weeks to help Colleen and Dan with the new baby - though I think Colleen just wants to fill her freezer with my cookies.

That pretty much sums up the last 5 months. Hopefully I will get better about updating the site or I might get in trouble by the rest of the family.

Christmas 2007

We have had an exciting week. We went to Portales for Christmas and Mila got to meet her cousin Sharon (who is only 1 month older) for the first time. The girls had a blast playing together. As you can see from the pictures there was no shortage of presents on Christmas. I can't believe Christmas is over and we have moved into 2008. We are anxious to see what the new year will bring us - if it's anything like 2007 we are in for a whirlwind year!

Thanksgiving 11/22/07

We all had a great Thanksgiving. My mom and Colleen & Dan were here for the week. This year we celebrated the 50th family gathering. My mom made calendars, cups with everyone's names and notepads with the family coat of arms on them! Mila got to meet all of her cousins and had a great time playing for the week. Its been hard getting back into the normal routine of things.

Adoption FInalization 11/17/07

We are so excited to announce that Mila's adoption has been finalized!!!! We saw the judge on November 17th, which is National Adoption Day. It was really nice that my mom and Colleen & Dan were able to come up to be with us for the big day. Mila was a little unsure about the situation, but overall did a great job of being a big girl about the whole thing.

Halloween 10/31/07

Its been a long time since I updated everyone. With the holidays and everything we just got to busy. We had a great halloween. Mila dressed up as a barbie fairy and we carved pumpkins. Mila got so much candy that we she was still eating it at Thanksgiving!

School and Soccer 10/20/07

Mila just finished her first 9 weeks of school and received her report card. She did pretty well and David and I are very proud of her. Mila also just finished her soccer season. Her team went 1-8, but they sure had fun! Below are her school and soccer pictures.

Visit to Albuquerque 10/13/07

We had a great time in Albuquerque. The balloon fiesta was great, Mila was so surprised by all the balloon's. The weather was perfect, not to cold. We also went to a corn maize and pumpkin patch.
